Prompt Template
Ultrawide desktop wallpaper of a [scene/style, e.g., misty mountain lake at dawn / abstract geometric gradient / minimal Japanese zen garden / northern lights over a snowy forest / cozy cabin interior at night]. The composition leaves [the center / the right third] relatively clean for desktop icons. Color palette: [describe 2-4 colors, e.g., deep navy, soft lavender, muted gold, charcoal]. The mood is [calm and contemplative / dramatic and awe-inspiring / warm and cozy / clean and minimal]. [Style-specific details, e.g., volumetric fog between mountain layers / subtle grain texture / soft bokeh light particles]. Rendered in [photorealistic / digital painting / low-poly art / vector illustration] style. Ultra-high resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, suitable as a desktop wallpaper with no text, watermarks, or UI elements.
Example Output
An ultrawide landscape of a misty mountain lake at dawn. The foreground shows perfectly still water reflecting mountain silhouettes in deep navy and soft grey. Three layers of mountains recede into the distance, each lighter than the last as volumetric fog fills the valleys between them. The sky gradients from deep indigo at the top through soft lavender to a warm golden glow along the horizon where the sun is about to break through. A few scattered clouds catch pink light. The overall mood is serene and contemplative. The right two-thirds of the image are relatively uncluttered — just sky, fog, and distant peaks — leaving clean space for desktop icons. No text, no watermarks, photorealistic rendering.
Tips for Best Results
- 💡Always include 'no text, no watermarks, no UI elements' — AI tools frequently add words to wallpaper-style images.
- 💡Specify '16:9 aspect ratio' for standard monitors or '21:9' for ultrawide displays (use --ar 16:9 or --ar 21:9 in Midjourney).
- 💡Mention 'clean space on the right/center for desktop icons' to keep part of the image uncluttered and functional.
- 💡Limit the color palette to 2-4 colors for a cohesive, non-distracting background that works behind apps.
- 💡Photorealistic landscapes, minimal abstract art, and soft gradient scenes tend to work best as daily-driver wallpapers.
